This page describes how we process users’ personal information on this website (https://www.upbilancio.it).

We provide these disclosures in compliance with Art. 13 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 – Data Protection Code (in Italian) to those who interact with the web services of the Parliamentary Budget Office (PBO), which are accessible through the address www.upbilancio.it, the home page of the PBO’s official website.

The disclosures regard the PBO website only and do not comprise any other websites that users might access through links on the PBO website.

 

WHY WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Personal information is processed by us solely for the following purposes:

  • to comply with requirements imposed by Italian law and regulations or EU law;
  • to perform functions strictly connected with and necessary for the use of the site and any services requested;
  • to process anonymous statistical information on the use of the site.

 

TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED

 

Browsing data

The IT systems and software procedures of this website acquire certain personal information transmitted in the normal course of using Internet communication protocols.

The information collected is not gathered in order to be associated with specific users but by its very nature could be processed and associated with data held by third parties to identify such users.

This category of information includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers utilized by the users of the site, the Uniform Resource Identifiers of the resources requested, the time of the requests, the methods used to transmit requests to the server, the size of the files obtained in response, the numerical codes indicating the status of the responses from the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters regarding the operating system and IT environment of users.

This information is only used to prepare anonymous statistics on site use and to ensure the proper operation of the site itself. It could also be used to determine responsibility in the case of computer crimes that harm the website.

 

 

Information provided voluntarily by users

The optional, explicit and voluntary transmission of e-mail messages to the addresses indicated on this website gives us access to the sender’s e-mail address (necessary to respond to queries) and to any other personal information included in the message.

 

Cookies

Cookies are text files that the servers of the websites you visit store on the devices you use to access the site (PCs, smartphones, tablets). The information in the cookies is re-transmitted to the server when the user returns to the same sites for another visit.

This site uses the following types of cookie:

 

First-party cookies

  • Session cookies. Session cookies (which are not stored permanently on user devices and are erased when the browser is closed) are only used to transmit session IDs (composed of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to enable users to browse the site securely and efficiently.
  • Google Analytics. The PBO site uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics uses cookies ‑ text files stored on user devices – to collect and analyse anonymous data on user behaviour on the site https://www.upbilancio.it. This information is transmitted to Google, which uses it to prepare reports for the operators of www.upbilancio.it on user activity on the website. The PBO website does not use (nor does it allow third parties to use) Google’s analytical tools to monitor or collect the personal identification information of users. Google does not associate the IP address of users with any other information held by Google, nor does it try to connect an IP address with the identity of a computer user. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required by law or where those third parties process the information on behalf of Google. Third-party cookies

Twitter social widget. The widget, which is managed by Twitter Inc., enables users to interact with the social network through the PBO website. Twitter thereby acquires data on user’s visits to the site. Twitter does not share any information it holds with the site or the data controller. VOLUNTARY NATURE OF THE INFORMATION PROVIDED

Except for the browsing data specified earlier, users are free to provide or not provide their personal information where requested in the pages and sections of the site. Not providing the information might make it impossible to obtain the requested service.

 

USER RIGHTS

The data subjects to whom personal information refers have the right to obtain, at any time, confirmation of whether the information exists and to know the content and source of that information, to check the accuracy of the information and request that supplemental information be included or that existing information be updated or corrected (Article 7 of the Date Protection Code).

Under the provisions of the same article, a data subject is entitled to ask that information that has been processed unlawfully be erased, anonymised or blocked and in any event to object, on legitimate grounds, to the processing of such information.
