The Parliamentary Budget Office met today with the Centro europeo ricerche (CER), Prometeia and REF.ricerche, with Italy’s national statistical instate (ISTAT) participating as an observer. The meeting was the first of a series with which the PBO is seeking to obtain the views of the leading independent forecasters in order to perform its institutional duties, especially that of validating the Government’s macroeconomic forecasts.
