Monday, September 15, 2025 – From September 9th to 12th, the OECD delegation held institutional and technical meetings in Rome, as part of a peer review dedicated to the Parliamentary Budget Office (PBO). Internal meetings with the Council, the Director General, and the Directors of Services were followed by a busy schedule of meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Chamber of Deputies, the Senate, the Bank of Italy, Istat, Court of Auditors, European Commission, IMF, and independent economists, which provided the delegation with a comprehensive overview of the PBO’s activities aimed at ensuring the transparency and reliability of public accounts, serving Parliament and citizens.
